Announcing...

Quinn Evaline Porter! She was born at 3:14 today. She is our heaviest and shortest baby - 7lbs 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches. We love her. It was a really lousy delivery. I had 4 epidurals - the first 3 didn't work and finally when I reached 10 cm, the anesthesiologist was able to get the epidural to work. But, otherwise it was a pretty good delivery. We are so grateful that she is healthy and here. The kids can't wait for us to bring her home. They were very interested in giving her a bath and getting her dressed. That will come with time. I am going to try and get a little peace and maybe some sleep before we come home.

It is going to be so fun for the kids to have her home. They will be more help than you think they will be.
That is too bad about the epidurals....but glad they finally got one to work. Watch out for epidural headaches. It they got any medicine out of the epidural space you may get sever headaches. That happenned to me once. So make sure they send you home with some good painkillers.
Love you guys!!

She's darling, congratulations. Get ready for all the help, I couldn't let Addie out of my site because Ali would pick her up, take her out of the swing, etc.

That is so exciting...and I think you deserve a major award for using short as a description amongst a member of your family. Maybe one day I can use the word tall!
