I was listening to Dr. Laura and a caller was complaining about a teacher being mad at a group of students for misbehaving. Dr. Laura went off on how terribly behaved children are these days and the teacher should expect better behavior. Then she said, (and I quote) "If you want to see really well-behaved children, go to any mall in Utah. They are so well behaved because they have been raised to respect their parents."
Seriously - I laughed out loud. You have got to be kidding me. I know my kids aren't the only one who do not behave in malls or just about anywhere else for that matter. But, that is why I never go to the mall - so maybe only parents with well-behaved kids go to the mall. I don't know. Kenyon took a group of kindergartners on a field trip to the zoo today and he can tell you they are not all well-behaved. He had quite the little brat who was begging for Kenyon to buy him food at the concessions. That kid obviously doesn't know Kenyon. :)
Ok - so another thing - I thought I would post my 2 latest projects. I have given one away and I don't think the other person getting this project reads my blog so I can post it now.

That is a really funny story about Dr. Laura. Go Utah!
And oh My Goodness i loove those quilts. They are so stinkin cute. did you make up the pattern?
These blankets are awesome! Great job. Funny Dr. Laura story. When I was at Gateway last October I thought, who are these young teenagers who are hanging out here at this lovely mall? They were scary to me and I felt they were totally unsupervised and untrained.
Yeah, Dr. Laura obviously isn't there when I am trying to get Samuel out of a store he doesn't want to leave. He somehow learned that move of going completely limp from protesters in the 60's and when I try and just pick him up he grabs my hair. Yep, she wasn't there. Those blankets are so stinkin' cute. I love them.
So, if I come and hang out at your house more often, do you think some of your crafty talent will rub off?
Your quilts are darling. Where's the fabric from? I just went to Elaine's and spent a little too much money. I'm going there again. He hee heee....
That is hilarious about Dr Laura. She's a case.
My Mom always listens to Dr. Laura. What a funny/ridiculous comment. PS. keep your hopes up for spring- it is GORGEOUS today!
I NEED to learn how to make those quilts. If I come over can I see them?
Ooh, both versions of are beautiful! Good color/fabric choices. And I'd tell Dr. Laura to go to YOUR house to see well-behaved children. . . Seriously.
Wow! I learned how to sew in Junior High and High School but I haven't done much with it since. I'm impressed.
