Baptism Day

A little flashback and a some current..So above is a picture of the day I was baptized. My kids do not believe that is me or that that is their grandpa. We've changed a little.

Our little boy was baptized on Saturday. I can't believe that the day has already come and gone. He was so happy and excited. We worked so hard to get him prepared. We didn't quite reach our goal of completing the Book of Mormon but we are close and I think he has really loved the scriptures. He has been so motivated to read the whole Book of Mormon. He got his own set of scriptures on Saturday and spent most of Sacrament meeting looking up my favorite verses and marking them with his new yellow pencil. His grandfathers were witnesses and one grandma gave a talk and the other gave the prayer. He was baptized with 3 other boys that are in our ward so it was fun for them to be together. It is great to have good friends to help you along the way of choosing the right.

Afterwards - the craziness! Everyone came for treats and it was fun but crowded. If only the weather had been a little nicer than it could have been outside. It felt like the longest Sunday but it was a good day.

YAY FOR TEAGUE! I am so happy for his decision to be baptized and I wish I could have been there to see the event take place. I'm impressed with his desire to read the Book of Mormon.

I can't believe it. I'm glad things went well and you and T and all the family had a wonderful day which I'm sure he'll remember. I'm sorry we couldn't make it, but we were thinking of you!

It was a very special event. Those 4 boys (I am especially partial to one) were so excited, so pure and innocent, so full of the Spirit. Sweet. And A is right, T did search the scrips the whole hour in Sacrament Mtg.

Annie, I love your picture :) Anyways, I am glad Teague had a good day. I remember what a big part you played on Stevens baptism day.

Is there a saying that we look for our dad when we get married? I definitely didn't obey, but I see some similarities in those two pictures. What a special day.

I was so happy to be part of your special day. I hope that our boys stay strong for each other. If only they were in the same school together...
