Kenyon Update

I have neglected to keep this blog up to date. It is hard to know what to say about how Kenyon is doing. He is a trooper but to be honest - he is getting really sick of this whole thing (and so am I). He is so tired and weak. We are trying to fatten him up and get a little strength on him but it is slow. The steroids, diabetes, and low counts have really kept him down.

He is able to work - a lot. That is a blessing. It keeps him busy and he is able to provide for us. I am very grateful that his job is so good to him and that he can do it from home.

Lately, Kenyon has been VERY frustrated by his lack of taste and he can't tell if food is hot. It is so strange. Hopefully it goes away soon. It makes it hard to get him to eat much when it isn't enjoyable.

I thought that quote from Pres. Monson was so interesting. I don't know if I have it right but something like..."The Lord will shape the back of the burden placed upon it." ? Sometimes I think we both struggle with this challenge, and yet so often I feel like we are able to handle it so much better than we could imagine. We have definitely been strengthened and blessed to handle more than I would have thought possible. But that is only when we put our trust in Him. Blessings do come.

Thank you for the update. I really appreciate the details, the record and a sense of your thoughts and feelings, and his. You are both (and all) in our prayers and on our minds.
